To enhance your tranquil retreat at Firelight, we invite you to unwind in our custom-built sauna. It’s a wonderful way to relax your body and mind after a day of exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains. For your safety and the serenity of all our guests, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines. Preparing for Your Session Your well-being is our priority. Please listen to your body and enjoy the sauna at your own pace. Stay Hydrated: Please drink plenty of water before and after your session. Comfort is Key: For your safety, please remove all jewelry, glasses, and contact lenses before entering. The heat can cause metal to become uncomfortably hot and may damage your eyewear. Health Considerations: If you have any health conditions—such as heart issues, blood pressure irregularities, or epilepsy—or if you are pregnant, please consult your doctor before using the sauna. An Adult Amenity: The sauna is reserved for guests aged 16 and older. Sauna Etiquette for a Relaxing Atmosphere Following these simple steps ensures a clean and peaceful environment for everyone. Start Fresh: Please use the provided foot wash before entering the sauna. Sit Comfortably: We require that you sit on a towel at all times. Pace Yourself: For a comfortable experience, we recommend sessions of 5-15 minutes. Please do not exceed 20 minutes at a time. Mind the Stove: To create the best steam, please drizzle the provided water onto the hot stones—don't pour it all at once. For the safety of our equipment and our guests, please do not use any outside products or essential oils. Attire: To maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for all, please wear a swimsuit or appropriate attire.
